TULSA COUNTY, OK — A 38-year-old Broken Arrow woman has been arrested and charged with child sexual abuse after allegedly grabbing an 11-year-old boy inside a gas station on Friday morning, authorities announced.

Amber Raye Compher, 38, was taken into custody on Friday, July 31, 2026, by Tulsa County deputies and booked on a charge of Child Sexual Abuse (Victim Under 12). Her bail has been set at $40,000.

Gas Station Incident and Surveillance Video Confirmation

The incident occurred just before noon at the Sinclair gas station located in the 6500 block of Charles Page Boulevard near South 65th West Avenue.

According to sheriff's deputies, a mother reported that her 11-year-old son was standing beside her inside the store when a woman walked in and suddenly grabbed the boy’s crotch area. After the mother confronted the suspect, the woman fled the premises.

Tulsa County deputies responded to the scene and reviewed security camera footage from inside the store. The surveillance records confirmed the mother's account and positively identified Compher as the suspect. Deputies canvassed the surrounding neighborhood, located Compher nearby, and placed her under arrest.

Protective Order Filed and Prior Jurisdictional History

On Monday, August 3, 2026, the victim's mother filed a formal petition for a protective order against Compher in court.

Court records indicate Compher resides in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and has prior encounters with law enforcement:

• 2021 Case: Arrested and charged with Threatening an Act of Violence, Reckless Conduct of a Firearm, and Carrying a Firearm While Under the Influence of Drugs. That case was ultimately dismissed due to lack of state jurisdiction because Compher is a enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

• April 2026 Case: Arrested in Tulsa County for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, resulting in a conviction and a $400 fine.
